November first I started the grueling challenge that is NaNoWriMo. A few minutes ago, 28 days later, I finished with 51,424. It’s been exhausting and wow, how did I deny myself so many things without going nuts?

I thought I would be jumping for joy, up to the moment when I needed only 500 to finish off the challenge. I surpassed that and the challenge by 1,424 words but for some reason I am not jumping. Maybe it’s because my head feels heavy and full. Or because though I wrote over 50,000 words in one month, I can’t look past the amount of work I see coming in the next few months? Or maybe it’s because my characters won’t stop talking about the future long enough to let me concentrate on their present.

Yes, this I know

I am proud of my dedication this month. I feel bad for the family and friends I put on hold so many times. Telling your besties you got 10 minutes is not easy and saying “You got a minute left on this call, you got something you want to talk about” is downright mean. So I am grateful to all of them for putting up during this grumpy month.

I want to say that I am going bed now but I’m not. I have something else I need to write out. They won’t leave me alone!

Any one down for chicken and broccoli?

  1. Hi there, You have done an incredible job. I will definitely
digg it and personally recommend to my friends.
I am confident they’ll be benefited from this web site.

  2. When someone writes an post he/she maintains the plan of a user in his/her mind
that how a user can be aware of it. So that’s why this post is great.
    Thanks!

  3. I am really impressed with your writing skills as well
as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare
to see a nice blog like this one today.

  4. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard
to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appeal.
I must say you have done a very good job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari.
    Outstanding Blog!
